Ochre Ceramics

Ethical Practices

Every Ochre piece is made with a real awareness of its impact on the world. That's always been part of how I work — making things considerately, ethically, and with deep respect for the planet we're all sharing.

All Ochre ceramics are made using Australian clay, and all jewellery is crafted from Australian recycled metals and quality natural materials — gemstones, freshwater pearls, and gold-filled findings. Everything is handmade by me, Lauren, in my studio in Mullumbimby, in the Northern Rivers of NSW.

I'm also really proud that my studio and kiln run entirely on solar power. Every ceramic piece fired at Ochre is fired by the sun — which, given we're in one of the most beautiful corners of Australia, feels just right.

Ochre Ceramics | One Tree Planted

Planting trees with every purchase.

The environment sits at the heart of every decision I make at Ochre — from the materials I choose, to the way I run my workshops, to the partners I work with. That commitment led me to partnering with One Tree Planted Australia, a not-for-profit dedicated to global reforestation.

Every single sale at Ochre contributes to planting a tree in Australia. Not some sales. Every one.

Since October 2020, this community has helped plant over 3,000 trees across Australia. That's something I'm incredibly proud of, and genuinely grateful for — it wouldn't be possible without every person who has shopped, booked a workshop, or simply shared what Ochre does. Thank you, truly.
