Ethical Practices

“ My ethos has always been to create considerately and ethically, respecting our beautiful planet. It’s really important to me that Ochre is more than a Jewellery + Homewares Label, more than a Pottery Class, and is contributing towards a better future for all. “

Our Impact

I have always tried to make sure in all decisions I make, from the way I craft Ochre’s pieces to how I run its pottery events, the environment is at the core. But I can do better! This has led me to partnering with One Tree Planted.

Each and EVERY sale goes towards plating trees via One Tree Planted Australia. My hope is this will result in thousands of trees being planted every year.

With the help of this beautiful community we have been able to plant OVER 2,000 (2,079 to be exact) Trees since starting in October 2020!!!

I will be keeping you updated here, via Ochre’s mailing list and instagram to how many trees have been planted each month.

Mindfully Made

Jewellery + homewares made with love and awareness of its footprint on the world. My ethos has always been to create pieces considerately and ethically, respecting our beautiful planet, without causing it any further harm.

All Ochre’s pieces are made by sourcing only Australian clay, and Australian recycled metals. Which are then mindfully crafted by me (Lauren) in my Byron Bay studio. I am so proud to say my studio and kiln, (used for firing all Ochre’s ceramic pieces), run on the power of the sun!
