Ochre offers both POTTERY and JEWELLERY Workshops.

Join me in Ochre’s beautiful, light filled studio learning the skills and techniques to hand make your very own pieces (pottery or jewellery) to treasure forever. Perfect for all skill levels, these ceramics workshops near you in Byron Bay are perfect for a couples getaway, hens or birthday party activities, and more.   • Let me introduce a new workshop… Jewellery, Jazz + Wine. All those ceramic beads that I have made and ‘keep for a special project’ over the years will finally be available to you to create with.

    You will have access to a stunning collection of pearls, handmade ceramic beads, colourful glass beads + high quality gold filled and sterling silver silver jewellery findings. Everything you need to create anything from earrings, bracelets, necklaces… even anklets.

    Ochre’s Private Group Pottery Classes are the perfect birthday celebration, hens party, work event, or an excuse of an extra special catch up.

  • The intention of Ochre’s Pottery + Jewellery Class is to have you feeling spoilt in every way. Paired with a delicious, completely over the top spread of treats.

    You can let go of ‘I’m not good’ ‘I’m not creative’ and just be kind to yourself.... Honestly these things don’t matter! What matters is that you enjoy yourself... And don’t worry at the very least you’ll come out with a beautiful collection of pieces you will love.

  • POTTERY - You will be taught hand building basics… How to make a pinch pot, how to coil with clay, how to attach handles, legs etc. and how to make sure your pieces won’t blow up in the kiln! You’ll leave having created up to three beautiful pieces, anything from a mug to a vase… I am here to help you so let your imagination take over.

    JEWELLERY - You will be taught jewellery basics… How to make findings, string, wire + attach. And don’t worry, I will be helping with design and assembling each of your pieces. You will have access to a beautiful collection of pearls, handmade ceramic beads, colourful glass beads + high quality gold filled and sterling silver jewellery findings. Everything you need to create anything from earrings, bracelets, necklaces… even anklets.

  • I can tailor to all skill types.

  • After our Pottery Workshop I will then glaze + fire your beautiful creations for you to pick up a few weeks later. Posting is also an option if you can’t collect your pieces in person.

  • Ochre’s workshops are a beautiful ‘entree’ into the world of clay.

    These classes are for those who have ‘wanted to try pottery for ages!’ or maybe have ‘but all the way back in high school!!’ through to those who ‘have been to so many pottery classes recently… I’m obsessed!’ I can tailor to all skill types.

    You will be taught hand building basics… How to make a pinch pot, how to coil with clay, attach handles, legs etc. and how to make sure your pieces won’t blow up in the kiln! I promise you’ll leave having created a collection of beautiful pieces… a mug to a pot planter, a bowl to a soap dish! It is up to you to let your imagination take over.

    What Time: Saturday Bookings 3-5pm. Friday bookings 5-7pm

    How Much: $135 each

    Includes more than a few glasses of delicious natural wine, a delicious cheese platter (vegan + Gf options by request)

    And of course up to 3 pieces glazed and fired.

Private Group workshops

Ochre’s Private Group Pottery or Jewellery Classes are the perfect birthday celebration, hens party, work event, or an excuse of an extra special catch up. Learn the skills and techniques to hand make your very own pieces pottery or jewellery, to treasure forever.

  • Minimum group size 6 people.

  • No maximum size, however for large groups we will have added teachers assisting the workshop.

  • Pottery

    I can tailor to all skill types, and will make sure you are able to grow your ‘new’ or ‘practiced’ hand building pottery skills. You will be taught hand building basics… How to make a pinch pot, how to coil with clay, attach handles, legs etc. and how to make sure your pieces won’t blow up in the kiln! I promise you’ll leave having created three beautiful pieces, anything from a mug to a vase, a bowl to a platter! It is up to you to let your imagination take over.

    Jewellery

    You will be taught jewellery basics… How to make findings, string, wire + attach. And don’t worry, I will be helping with design and assembling each of your pieces. You will have access to a beautiful collection of pearls, handmade ceramic beads, colourful glass beads + high quality gold filled and sterling silver silver jewellery findings. Everything you need to create anything from earrings, bracelets, necklaces… ect.

  • Includes making up to 3 pieces, glazed and fired (Pottery) or 2-3 pieces of jewellery.

    Two hour workshop WITHOUT Wine + Cheese

    • 6-9 People $110 a head

    • 10+ People $100 a head
