Private Tea Set Workshop

Details

When: Wednesday 2nd of September

Where: Ochre’s Studio 44 Main Arm rd, Mullumbimby.

What Time: 10-1pm

How Much: $150 each. Includes pieces glazed and fired.

What to expect

This workshop is about making something beautiful and considered. A tea set is technical and a complex piece to hand-build, but with step-by-step instruction for each detail and 3 hours to put it all together, you will not quite believe what you can achieve. In this beautiful morning workshop, I will walk you through every step: the pinch pot, coiling, the handle, the spout, the lid. And of course we have local coffee, tea and delicious pastries to enjoy while creating.

I feel so proud when someone completes their first teapot. It looks harder than it is, I promise. And by the end of the session you will not quite believe you achieved it.

  • Three hours of guided hand-building — teapot and cups, from scratch

  • Step-by-step instruction for every part, including spout, handle, and lid

  • All materials and tools provided

  • Your finished set glazed, fired, and ready for pickup or postage in a few weeks

After our workshop I will then glaze + fire your beautiful creations for you to pick up a few weeks later. (Posting is also an option.)
