For the past while I’ve been working on a collection of one of a kind pieces. Instead of making as a production potter, repeating the same forms hundreds of times, I’ve let myself make like an artist. Bigger pieces, new forms, trying things just to see what happens, with no pressure to ever make them again.
How many will make it through drying, firing and glazing is still a mystery, even to me. The ones that survive will be waiting for you at Vessel, a little exhibition at Nonnie’s Wine Store.
Wine in hand, music playing, and a room full of pieces made just once. Come and wander the collection, stay for a glass or two, and celebrate nearly a decade of clay with me.
