The Pearl Necklace that inspired the whole collection. Adjustable size, detailing a 10cm chain so it can be worn higher or lower.

I made this collection of pearl jewellery to complement the most beautiful + raw pearl necklace that my Mother wore on her wedding day, a piece she lent to me to wear at mine. Just before my wedding she handed me a little box and asked if I would like to wear it at my wedding... I had tears in my eyes, it was so dainty and beautiful. Although this in not exactly the same as Mum’s pearl necklace… It was very much inspired by it.

  • This beautiful necklace has an overall length of 40-50cm, the length is adjustable, as the gold clip can be fastened into any of the chain links.

  • Gold-filled jewellery has 100 times more gold alloy than gold-plated jewellery, meaning the layer of gold is so much thicker and tarnish resistant.

  • Detailing tiny freshwater pearls of 1-2mm. With a larger pearl drop at the end of the chain of roughly 5mm.

  • Pearls are sourced from ethical freshwater pearl farms NOT taken from their natural environment.

  • Handmade in Bryon Shire, Australia.

    All Ochre’s pieces are made by sourcing only Australian clay, and Australian recycled metals. Which are then mindfully crafted by me (Lauren) in my Northern Rivers, Mullumbimby studio. I am so proud to say my studio and kiln, (used for firing all Ochre’s ceramic pieces), run on the power of the sun!
