Clay, Wine + Cheese | Pottery Workshop near Byron Bay
Come and spend a Saturday afternoon making something with your hands. Clay, Wine + Cheese is a two-hour pottery workshop in my Mullumbimby studio, just 15 minutes from Byron Bay. You will hand-build your own ceramic piece — a mug, a vase, a bowl, whatever takes your fancy. While I teach you hand-building techniques, we share a lovely spread of local wine, and an over the top cheese platter.

My hope is that Ochre's workshops feel like something a little special — like booking a really lovely restaurant. Every detail matters to me. The wine is delicious, the platter is completely over the top, and you will leave with pieces you are genuinely proud of.
Workshop Information
Location: Ochre Ceramics Studio – 44 Main Arm Rd, Mullumbimby, NSW
Time: Saturdays, 3pm-5pm
Cost: A$135 per person
Your finished piece will be glazed and fired for pickup or shipping in a few weeks.

You will be taught hand building basics… How to make a pinch pot, how to coil with clay, attach handles, legs etc. and how to make sure your pieces won’t blow up in the kiln! I promise you’ll leave having created a collection of beautiful pieces… a mug to a vase, a bowl to a platter! It is up to you to let your imagination take over.

Ochre’s workshops are a beautiful ‘entree’ into the world of clay. These classes are for those who have ‘wanted to try pottery for ages!’ or maybe have ‘but all the way back in high school!!’ through to those who ‘have been to so many pottery classes recently… I’m obsessed!’ The intention of Ochre’s Pottery Classes is to have you feeling spoilt in every way!!! These hand building classes are relaxed, fun.... and just a little sassy! Hosted at my beautiful light filled studio in Mullumbimby studio, 10ish minutes from Byron Bay, paired with a delicious (completely over the top) selection of local drinks and food!!!
