This might be the most beautiful venue I have ever taught in. Ochre is coming to McLaren Vale, hosted at the gorgeous Rare Earth Retreats — a white villa looking out over vineyards in South Australia's wine country, about 45 minutes south of Adelaide. Over two hours you will design and make 2-3 pieces of your own jewellery, anything from necklaces, bracelets, earrings, anklets. I will be there the whole time helping with design and assembly, while we share wine, good music, and a completely over the top platter.

You will have access to a beautiful collection of pearls, handmade ceramic beads, colourful glass beads + high quality gold filled and sterling silver silver jewellery findings. Everything you need to create you very own custom jewellery. You will be taught jewellery basics… How to make use findings, string, wire + attach.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

  • Two hours of guided jewellery making.

  • You can make 2-3 pieces of jewellery anything from necklaces, bracelets, earrings, anklets.

  • A beautiful selection of pearls, gemstones, ceramic beads, glass beads, and gold-filled and sterling silver findings

  • Location: Rare Earth Retreats. The street address is Neill Road, McLaren Vale (no number).

    Once you come up the hill you will see the three houses on the left, we will be in the second house, ‘Clay’. Parking will be along the right side of the road, on the grass area, just across from the driveway.

    Rare Earth Retreats is located on Kaurna Meyunna Country. A picturesque white villa set among the vines of McLaren Vale. The setting is quietly spectacular — the kind of place that makes an afternoon feel like a proper occasion. I could not have found a lovelier spot for a workshop in South Australia.

You will have access to freshwater pearls, handmade ceramic beads, glass beads, and high-quality gold-filled and sterling silver findings. Most people make two to three pieces. I help with design and assembly so you are never left staring at a pile of beads wondering what to do.
